Should I be driving at all during the pandemic?
Based on the Government's advice you should stay at home and not be driving. You should only be leaving your house for the following reasons:
- Shopping for basic necessities, as infrequently as possible
- Medical reasons, to provide care, or to help a vulnerable person
- Travelling to and from work, but only if it is absolutely necessary
- Exercise once a day
You also should not be driving with passengers who are showing symptoms of the virus or have been in close contact with those who have.
If you do need to go out and use your car, make sure you wash your hands with soap and water thoroughly (for at least 20 seconds) before you leave and when you get back home, to protect yourself and others.
