ingenie launches Black Beauty insurance

For many years, ingenie chairman and co-founder Steve Broughton has owned race horses. Since ingenie's huge success with black box insurance, Steve's dream has been to reproduce the benefits for horse owners.

Everything we do to help young drivers get lower insurance costs and stay safe is just as necessary for top race horses - so we started to look into how that would work.

One year later, we're finally launching our Black Beauty insurance.

How can telematics help race horse owners?

  1. Save on your insurance

Being able to see how much the horse is running, where it's stabled and how often it travels lets us adapt your premium to you.

  2. Track your horse's performance and health stats

Get the full rundown of speed, agility and race time, as well as vital feedback on health.

  3. Locate your horse at any time

Not only can you track your horse's progress while it's travelling to events; you can also quickly locate your horse if it's ever stolen, helping police recover it.

  4. Black Beauty insurance
"ingenie has revolutionised young driver insurance, helping people get on the road more easily and staying safe once they get there. Now, we're very proud to bring those same benefits to the equestrian world. My horses are already connected and we're seeing great results."

"When Steve suggested we look into insuring race horses, it was a completely new world for us. Once I started talking to trainers and seeing the problems they have with tracking their horses, I immediately saw ingenie could help. Owners can save money and get valuable insight into how their horses are running.
