#PleaseLoveMyCar: the results

PleaseLoveMyCar

For Valentine's Day we decided to give a few young drivers a break. The average car owned by a young driver is about 10 years old - that's OLD. That's veering dangerously into no-CD-player territory.

So, we thought - why not fix up their cars real nice? We invited all our followers to enter their cars and tell us why they needed some TLC. We got a huge response.

The cars that couldn't

We picked our winners based on the sad condition of their cars, but when we came to take a look at those cars...well, we were shocked. These cars were even worse than their owners had described - in fact, they were frankly beyond saving.

What happened next

We asked our mates at Vauxhall if they could help us do something really, really cool. And obviously very necessary from what the poor guys at the garage said.

We asked if they could put our 3 winners in 2014 Vauxhall Corsas.

Enter: the Corsa

The Vauxhall Corsa is the most popular car in the ingenie community. We wanted to give our winners a car that was fuel efficient, cheap to tax and insure, and (unlike their old cars) wouldn't cost them a fortune in garage bills.

The Corsa was an obvious choice.

Our lovely winners

Connor

Connor's poor old Fiesta was literally rotting away. It was a sorry sight.

Rust, broken boot, dodgy wheel arches...it's fairly amazing it was even on the road.

After we'd taken Connor's Fiesta away for medical testing, we presented him with his shiny 2014 Vauxhall Corsa EcoFlex.

It's a slight step up in the world, and means he can now drive places without rattling like an old go kart. Enjoy the ride, Connor!

Chantelle

Chantelle clearly loved Kevin.

He might have been missing one of his false eyelashes and suffering from some patchy rust, but he had a diamanté-encrusted CD player.

Sadly, Kevin's sparkle was clearly dying and it was time for a new diva in Chantelle's life.

Chantelle's now driving a 2014 Vauxhall Corsa Excite (who she's already named Clive) and we're sure he'll have his own accessories in no time.

Darielle

Darielle passed her test and jumped straight into an X-reg Peugeot 206 called Daisy. And Daisy was not in a good state. Between dents, holes and scratches, Daisy was ready to do one.

Now, Darielle's got a 2014 Vauxhall Corsa from Evans Hawlshaw in Cardiff. Broom broom!

But that's not all: Darielle's insured with ingenie, and having a 2014 Vauxhall Corsa means she's actually going to get a £480 refund on her insurance.

Sweet.
