Hanna found ingenie through Twitter while she was desperately searching for a way to make her insurance more affordable.

How much did you save by choosing ingenie over the next cheapest quote?
"My initial saving on the quote from ingenie was about £1,000. Being in a high risk post code this was amazing! I thought I wouldn't be able to drive for a few years after passing my test, as the insurance would be too high. If we hadn't discovered ingenie I still wouldn't be an insured driver."
Has ingenie helped you become a better driver?
"I'm constantly thinking about my driving style and consequently focus on the four areas assessed: braking, cornering, speeding and acceleration. My weakest areas have been braking and cornering but with the ingenie app I can check my progress wherever I am.

What are your tips to other customers for getting good driving feedback and score?
"Based on my issues with driving I would say:
- Leave enough room between you and the car in front to ensure that you don’t have to brake harshly because you are too close.
- Similar thing with junctions: make sure you brake far enough ahead of a junction to make sure you don’t need to brake harshly.
- When coming up to traffic lights, slow down in case they change – again this avoids harsh braking.
- Take corners in second gear! Third gear always leads to negative ingenie feedback for me because it’s just not safe to be going that fast on a turn."
What made you renew with ingenie for a second year?
"The final discount I received at the end of the year showed me how worthwhile it would be to renew with ingenie - my insurance went down by £1,229.
"The customer service has also been perfect – everyone I have ever spoken to has been very helpful, even the man who came to fit my black box. When he fitted it I still did not know what many of the controls in the car did, so he taught me a lot before I even got on the road!"
