ingenie wins Insurance Times Award for innovation

Last night was the Insurance Times Awards ceremony at Battersea Evolution in London - and I'm proud to report that ingenie won its category of Broker Innovation of the Year.

ingenie's innovation

Our nominated innovation - introduced in our recent Young Driver Report - was the Driver Behaviour Unit (DBU), a team of psychology-trained advisers who give extra support to the drivers in our community who need it.

We've been developing this ground-breaking team for the last couple of years, and have seen some amazing results from their driver coaching.

As the report revealed, we've reduced the risk of new young drivers crashing by 40%, compared to the national average for under-25s.

A round of applause for everyone at ingenie

It's a huge achievement, and I'm so pleased to see the DBU's hard work rewarded. Two of the DBU's advisers were with me at the event, along with people from marketing, customer service and app development - all looking very proud of their award.

Congratulations to them, and to everyone at ingenie who has supported our customers' improvement through social media, feedback messages, online resources, and everything else we do to help young drivers.
