Updates to the ingenie app

We've been making some changes to the ingenie app that we think will make things easier to keep track of.

What have we changed and why?

You told us that you weren't sure how your feedback messages are linked to your driving score and how much you're on track to save.

So we thought it would be much clearer if:

  1. Your driving score was displayed at the top of the screen
  2. It always showed your most up to date score
  3. It always showed the most up to date amount you're on track to save

We’ve also taken off all the out of date driving scores attached to past feedback message sets, which makes things less confusing.

Feedback messages:

Feedback messages let you know how you've been driving since your last set of messages. You'll see the areas you've done well in and where you can improve to stay on track for your discount.

Driving score:

Your driving score adds up over time, so it includes all of the driving you've done since the start of the review period - not just the last 10 days.

How to improve your driving score

Use your feedback messages to identify where there is room for improvement.

You can find a 'How to improve' section in your driver feedback account, which will give you tips on how to improve your:

  • Speed
  • Acceleration
  • Braking
  • Cornering

To have the best chance of increasing your driving score, you need to maintain good driving trends.

Remember:

Your feedback messages are not directly linked to your driving score - the score is based on all your driving from the beginning of the review period.

Feedback messages: how you've been driving for the last 10 days.

Driving score: how you've been driving over the 3 month review period.
