Tyger’s Diary: Practical driving test
Test day has finally arrived for Tyger!
Like him, you may be surprised to know that only 40% of people pass their test first time so it's not surprising nerves can play a part on the big day.
Watch Tyger's latest video to hear about how he was feeling on the morning of his test, and of course how he got on at the test centre!
3 THINGS TO REMEMBER ABOUT YOUR PRACTICAL TEST
- Don't rush to book your test - Your driving instructor will tell you you’re ready to take your driving test. Don't try and rush to pass or you won’t be fully prepared for the road
- Put in the hours – The Driving Standards Agency recommends that you need around 45 hours of professional lessons and an additional 22 hours of private practice before you take your driving test.
- Passing the test is just the beginning – the learning doesn't stop just because you've passed your test. You should seriously think about taking some post-test lessons to get to grips with motorway driving and consider black box insurance to act as your co-pilot to help you identify areas of your driving that need to be improved
