ingenie partners with Vauxhall Motors

Our partnership with Vauxhall represents a significant step forward for ingenie as a business. It's the first time a major motor manufacturer has embraced telematic car insurance and put their name against it.

'Vauxhall Insurance powered by ingenie' is a unique proposition that we believe will empower more young people to start driving. This initiative gives us yet another way of reaching out to young drivers and their parents in a new way and at the right time – at the dealership when they are shopping for a suitable car.

It creates a great opportunity for us to fully explain how ingenie works, and ultimately, show how we can save young drivers money and make them safer.

The scheme is exclusively underwritten by Ageas Insurance Limited.

After one year of operating, the most popular car we insure is the Vauxhall Corsa, so a partnership with its manufacturer was clearly the right move. The fact that both brand new and used-approved Vauxhalls will be offered to young people with ingenie insurance at dealerships nationwide only serves to widen the potential of this partnership.

Young drivers find it increasingly difficult to buy affordable car insurance and ingenie offers a fairer solution that assesses them on their own merits. With one in five of our driver community choosing a Vauxhall Corsa, the partnership with Vauxhall is a perfect fit.

We're also looking forward to insuring new owners of Vauxhall's latest city car, the Adam (launching in 2013) whose trendy appeal, affordability and low insurance grouping makes a perfect package with ingenie.

In just under a year, our growing community of young policyholders has become a unique group who talkback to us on social media and share their experiences. Most have been shown to make positive improvements to their driving using the ingenie system and many have received a discount on their premium in the process.

With Vauxhall as a prominent partner, we will continue this growth into next year and continue to strive to be the most affordable and sensible way for 17-25 year olds to get on the road.
