ingenie partners head to Silverstone

Earlier this month ingenie founder and CEO, Richard King and Chairman, Steve Broughton took special guests to Silverstone to meet our partners Williams F1.

They had the opportunity to test their skills on an F1 simulator as well as take part in a pit stop challenge; racing other teams to see who could record the fastest time.

Some of the teams achieved times of around five seconds, which isn't bad - though the pros at Williams F1 managed it in 3.0 seconds at the Bahrain GP earlier this year!

There were historic cars on display including the championship winning FW18, driven by British racing driver Damon Hill in the 1996 World Championship.

Everyone also had the opportunity to meet the founder of Williams, Sir Frank Williams, and the team's drivers including Pastor Maldonado and Bruno Senna.

The highlight of the day was when Suzie Wolf, a Williams development driver, took the FW33 out on the track (last year's Williams F1 car). It was the first time she'd been in an F1 car on an F1 track, and is now one of only a handful of women drivers to do so.

A big thanks to our partners Williams F1 for the opportunity to take part.
